Speakers:
Dr. Nordgaard is a pediatrician with an interest in environmental health. He completed research degrees in psychology and biology prior to medical school, and recently completed his pediatrics training at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. He is particularly interested in climate change and asthma; two environmental health problems facing many of today's children.
Sheila Bushkin, M.D., M.P.H., is a member of the Institute of Health and the Environment at the State University at Albany. She has been a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York for 15 years. She has authored and co-authored and lectured extensively on a wide range of environmental health issures including, exposure to chemical contaminants and ionizing radiation in early childhood associated with cancer later in life, and the public health risks associated with hydraulic fracturing.
