~A Sevenars Concert ~
(a ready-to-air video exclusively for participating towns' community access cable television)
In addition to our live concerts, we are offering a 60-minute musical video of virtuoso piano solos and duos entitled "'A Celebration of the Great Composer Sergei Rachmaninoff,' for the 150th Anniversary of his Birth,"
which will bring the Sevenars festival and the musicians from the Sevenars founding family, the
Schrade Family of Pianists, from Worthington to your town.
Seven members of the Schrade family started performing over 50 years ago, becoming the first
pianists to be listed as a family ensemble on Steinway Artists' prestigious roster (in addition to
their individual listings). The name "Sevenars" originated from all seven "R" names, and their
music festival grew to be "one of the best small music festivals in the USA" (Time Magazine),
drawing devoted listeners to its concerts at Lincoln Center (NY), at the Sevenars festival in
Worthington, MA, on radio and television programs (NBC Today Show, Lifetime TV, WGBH to
name a few), and on commercial recordings.
As individual performers, members of the Schrade family - including Schrade-James members
after the 1978 marriage of Robelyn Schrade to David James - have attracted an equally strong
following, winning prizes and accolades as soloists as well as duo performers.
In addition we will offer a friendly pre-concert (30-min) Zoom discussion with a Q&A option.
